Metal scrap is known as the set of pieces of old or scrap metal, especially iron. Some scrap components have an economic value and can be recycled once properly recovered.
Metal scrap or metal waste can be classified into two main types:

Ferrous metal scrap: from iron and steel.

Non-ferrous metal scrap: residues of copper, aluminum, tin, lead, zinc or nickel, among the best known.
